Marie Tueller MEd, LPC

Marie Tueller is a Licensed Professional Counselor practicing as a therapist, coach, educator, consultant, and clinical supervisor in Prescott, AZ. Marie’s education, professional and personal background in treating mental health issues, addiction, and trauma gives her a unique and effective approach to counseling. She works to provide clients with individualized treatment plans that can be integrated into their daily lives.

Marie Tueller received her Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Utah in 2007. Additionally, she is currently a counseling psychology PsyD candidate. Marie has worked in the field of counseling and behavioral health since 2001 in a variety of clinical settings.  She is also a licensed clinician and registered clinical supervisor through the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners.

Marie specializes in a variety of clinical modalities including, but not limited to, CBT, DBT, trauma informed treatment, gender specific modalities, and motivational interviewing. She takes a goal-directed client centered approach which allows the individual to explore and discover the possibility for deep internal healing and growth.  Marie has supported many individuals in achieving their goals by gently guiding her clients through important constructive changes and transitions in their lives.  She uses this client centered approach, combined with holistic modalities tailored to the unique individual, to assist her clients in making positive changes in a variety of areas.

Outside of private practice, Marie has worked as a clinical director, executive director, clinical supervisor, therapist, educator, mentor, program developer, trainer, coordinator for adolescent drug court intensive outpatient program, and mental health advocate.  Marie has had the privilege of providing a diverse range of behavioral and mental health services over the years including, but not limited to, child and family therapy, adult and adolescent substance use counseling, inpatient and intensive outpatient clinical services, program enhancement, community outreach, development of mentorship programs for at risk youth and young adults, trauma informed and gender specific counseling, specialty therapeutic workshops, and grief support services. 

Marie is a professional member of a variety of local and national counseling and psychology associations. Marie continues to educate herself by attending national and local conferences, keeping up with current therapy research, best evidence-based practices, and seeking ongoing consultation. Tera Klymenko

Director of Business Operations, Trauma Informed CYT

Tera has 18 years of direct client services experience in both the medical and behavioral health fields. Her mission in all of her work is to assist others on their path to healing and self discovery. Over the years Tera has helped local businesses thrive and serve the community, ensuring quality care and effective services are delivered.

Tera coordinates multiple practitioners and facilitates clients receiving care. Combining problem solving and flexibility, Tera strives to ensure everyone is supported in a mindful and compassionate way. Tera is a trauma informed yoga teacher and has taught over 7,000 hours of yoga privately and publicly. She has earned 3 yoga certifications and experienced immeasurable joy witnessing her students learn about themselves and continue on their path to wholeness. In her free time Tera can be found hiking the trail and enjoying time in nature with her family.

Katherine Miller, LMSW

Lead Clinician & Clinical Supervisor, Mental Health Counselor

Katherine Miller, LMSW, is a Licensed Master Social Worker. She holds a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Human Behavior and a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Northern Arizona University. Katherine has worked in the field of mental and behavioral health for over a decade. 

 
Katherine is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR) and Brainspotting Therapy (BSP). Katherine has experience, education, and training in treating PTSD, complex trauma, mental illness, addiction, conflict within family systems and relationships, as well as co-occurring disorders. 
 
Katherine believes in healing the whole person and has developed a diverse skill set while utilizing her own experiences to pursue her passion of helping clients recover and reclaim themselves. 

Rachel Hodgson MEd, LAC

Mental Health Counselor
Meet Rachel, a Licensed Associate Counselor who graduated with her M.Ed from Northern Arizona University. She has a passion for helping children and adults through the power of play and creative therapy from a humanistic and existential perspective. Rachel is an advocate for trauma-based care, recognizing the importance of addressing the root causes of mental health issues for long-term healing. She believes in creating a safe and supportive environment where clients can feel comfortable and confident in their ability to express themselves. She draws from her personal experience as a Child of Deaf Adults, bringing this perspective to her practice. With her warmth, empathy, and clinical skills, Rachel is dedicated to supporting her clients in reaching their full potential and achieving their therapeutic goals.
 

Phillip Matosich, MS, LPC

Mental Health Counselor

Philip is originally from California but has lived in Arizona for much of his life. He’s been clean and sober for over 24 years and works full-time as a substance use counselor. Philip pours his heart and soul into helping clients reach their full potential. 

A client-centered approach is extremely important for Philip and he helps achieve this by practicing motivational interviewing and other similar modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical therapy. During these sessions, Philip helps clients work through ambivalent and insecure feelings so they can find the internal motivation needed for change.

Philip also pays close attention to the health and well-being of each client. He’s sensitive to the fact that each person comes from a different background and has unique strengths and challenges. Philip is always great at seeing the best in people!

John 'Junior' Pemberton, LMSW

Mental Health Counselor
Junior utilizes his life experiences, education, and skills to help members of this community to better themselves and those around them. He has a passion to work with and help people with substance abuse issues, trauma, and mental illness.
 
Junior Uses a variety of counseling techniques that include Accelerated Resolution Therapy, CBT, DBT, REBT and Motivational Interviewing. Junior holds the belief that perception is key to helping clients break through many of the difficulties they are experiencing in life. He strives to help clients understand and appreciate who they are through the use of philosophy, CBT skills, and spirituality. Junior easily forms good rapport, and trusting relationships, which helps clients with their progress and retention. He is skilled in finding unique ways to keep groups engaged and to describe concepts in a manner that the clients will be able to better understand and remember. Junior is also experienced in facilitating groups ranging from IOP based material, Process groups, Creative Meditation, Spirituality, Compassionate thinking, and conflict resolution.

Rebecca Suarez, LAMFT

She holds a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Nova Southeastern University, reflecting her commitment to fostering growth and nurturing relationships. A native Spanish speaker, Rebecca is passionate about serving the Latino community. 

Using a systemic approach, Rebecca’s expertise extends to working with couples, children, teens, young adults, and families, offering guidance and support in family and group settings. Her approach is a blend of methodologies, often integrating art, music, movement, and play to create a unique and holistic therapeutic experience.

Meredith Brose, LMSW

Mental Health Counselor

Meredith has a fresh perspective based on her life experiences. She values serving others, equality, promoting human rights, working toward social justice, and improving the quality of life for her clients. She is empathic as she listens to clients and encourages them to find ways to enrich their lives. Her passion is to have clients see what they CAN do.

Connecting with others is key for Meredith. Having lived in three different countries and six different states, and Washington, D.C. She is proud to be from a military family who has lived around the world and is the first woman in her family to have served in the United States Army. This has initiated open mind since childhood and she is always culturally aware and curious. She finds what she has in common with others, is accepting of differences, and finds ways to learn from as many people as possible. She has taught students from preschool age through adulthood including English as a Second Language with adult students from sixteen different countries in one classroom and Native American students in a small village in the Bush of Alaska.

Meredith has excellent communication skills. She has been a journalist in the Wyoming Army National Guard, a news reporter in Alaska and California, and has been published internationally, nationally, and
statewide as a freelance writer. She is comfortable approaching and interviewing people in leadership positions, such as the governor of Alaska, state representatives in Wyoming, and she is confident with speaking in public.

Meredith’s teaching experience in four states where she designed 17 different classes in Psychology and English, sometimes teaching 150 students in one day or 5 different classes in one day has allowed her to develop her skills with planning and organization, presenting to groups of colleagues, and wise time management. She believes in lifelong learning and will always be involved in furthering her education.
Meredith is enthusiastic about working on a team who takes pride in helping others. She will research the resources to meet people’s needs, will be persistent with guiding clients to meet their goals, and will always be flexible and adaptable.

Meredith finds it very rewarding to show clients how they can build on their strengths so that they can increase their self-worth and find their purpose.

Christy O’Dell, M.S.

Clinical Mental Health Counselor

Christy earned her Masters of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix and is committed to working collaboratively with children, families, caregivers and individuals to promote healing, growth, and resilience. Christy’s approach is centered on providing support and guidance with a trauma-informed focus that meets the unique needs of each individual and family. Christy fosters an environment where children and families can feel safe, understood, and empowered to heal and thrive. 

Christy believes in a genuine, strengths based approach which encourages confidence, resilience, and empowerment. She works with children and their families as well as individuals to address complex issues such as trauma, anxiety, behavioral challenges, family conflict, adoption and foster related challenges, grief, and more. Using a combination of play therapy, expressive therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy, Christy helps clients express themselves in ways that feel natural and safe, while also providing strategies, tools, and education to build strong, healthy relationships and address the needs impacting undesired behaviors.

Christy’s trauma-informed approach is influenced by understanding the impact of past experiences on the present and creating a healing space where families can process these experiences with compassion and care. Christy maintains a focus on helping clients to develop the skills and coping strategies needed to navigate life’s challenges with confidence and resilience while addressing the “need behind the behavior” for meaningful, positive impact in a client’s life.

 
 

Alexis Brunstedt, MA, PCC

Alexis Brunstedt is a compassionate and insightful Master’s-level Executive Business and Life Coach who specializes in helping purpose-driven individuals find greater meaning, balance, and fulfillment. She also holds certifications in Options Counseling, Holy Yoga Instruction, and Transformational Birth Support Coaching, reflecting her holistic approach to coaching. 

Her diverse background includes living and working in India, China, and Germany, where she taught English and gained a global perspective that enriches her coaching practice. Alexis’ coaching style is both supportive and empowering, helping clients embrace change, adopt a new mindset, and achieve meaningful, lasting transformation in their lives.

Kelsey Carr, AA, PMHNP Candidate

Kelsey has 8 years of experience in behavioral health, trauma, and addiction. Kelsey has a wide range of skills from working in inpatient psychiatric, traditional outpatient therapies, and counseling services. Kelsey is currently enrolled in nursing school on the route to becoming a psychiatric nurse practitioner. Kelsey’s goal is to provide well rounded, safe, and efficient care for clients and their families.
